In March the gardens have vibrant spring bulbs, in June stunning summer flowers blossom at the Writtle College Garden Open Days. The opening is part of the National Gardens Scheme, a charitable trust which provides financial support to a wide range of charitable institutions.
A mapped walk will be available and visitors will have the chance to speak with Writtle College horticultural staff and members of the Neighbourhood Gardeners Scheme, who will be on hand to answer gardening queries.
The Writz restaurant on campus will be open for traditional Sunday lunches, with a full roast meal and other light snacks on the menu. Alternative refreshments will be available from the Writtle tea rooms and plants will be on sale in the Writtle College garden centre.
As well as garden open days the college plays host to a variety of other events throughout the year. College events can be anything from equine one day events to design open days. Please check the college website for updates.
