Boydells Dairy Farm

Boydells Dairy Farm is a tucked-away gem that is not like other farm parks.

First and foremost, it is a real working family farm whose speciality is producing sheep milk. Although sheep are the mainstay of the farm, many other animals are to be found – cows, pigs, goats, ponies, poultry – and even llamas. Feed can be purchased which will encourage close interaction with the animals

As we go about our routine afternoon tasks, visitors are taken on a fun and educational tour of the farm with introductions to many of the different farm animals. A 'hands on' approach is taken and there will be the opportunity to bottle feed lambs (we have lambs born right into the summer) and have a go at milking.

To make the afternoon a real adventure, take a pre-visit picnic to enjoy in the idyllic picnic/play area set around a very shallow stream. A change of clothes is advisable as the stream is magnetic to children!
