Now featuring a brand new Indoor Adventure Play Barn
Set in over 700 acres of unspoilt Essex Countryside Barleylands has something to offer the whole family.
Feeding the animals, finding out where our food comes from and cuddling our cute small animals are just some of the activities on the farm that you can be involved with, not to mention becoming a real farmer and riding on the tractor, jumping on the big bouncy pillow and exploring our adventure play area.
Our fantastic new Discovery Centre is an excellent way of learning all about farming and our countryside. Divided into five zones including our food and our future and offering a cinema and interactives to get you thinking, the Discovery Centre will provide a great learning experience for everyone.
Browse around our wonderful craft village home to over 60 unique, working craft studios including a blacksmith and a pottery barn. Watch the glass blowers at work creating unique one-off pieces for you to buy and pick up that extra special gift.
The farmer’s market held on the second and last Saturday of the month offer a great opportunity for visitors to buy fresh local produce at affordable prices.
The Essex Country Show held every September is our most popular event with last year’s visitors reaching nearly 40 000. Steam engines, working horses and tractor shows are just some of the displays you will get to see in the countryside ring, not to mention hundreds of stalls to browse and of course plenty to keep the children entertained.
Barleylands is an unforgettable family day out, come and see for yourself!
